That Irish Mobster from Sons of Anarchy, the brother-in-law from Breaking Bad, that French-Canadian actor with many-a-female-fan, the latest lead to leave Days of Our Lives, the Other Baldwin Brother and countless more actors you-KNOW-you-know from somewhere.
You’ve seen their faces in some of the biggest network shows, binge-worthy streaming classics, crime-reenactments-you-can’t-quit, and acclaimed feature films but NOW (according to user-based investigations listed here on the Internet Movie Database) they are your star-cast of an upcoming television show directed by Spanish native, Santiago Salviche. Salviche and his team are the aesthetic masterminds behind music videos for JLO’s “El Anillo“, Marc Anthony’s “Tu Vida en la Mia” and most recently, Danna Paola’s “Mala Fama” (as well as the “Cash Me Outside” girl’s “Babyface Savage“), all in the millions upon tens of millions of views.
Between trickling social media hints by Salviche himself, cast and crew members teasing the project on resumes, Instagram accounts and in scattered interviews, the big picture is starting to shape up to be a thrilling new original series with Pablo Diez helming the camera.

While rumors first speculated the show would debut as a Netflix Original, Salviche has recently stated in his Instagram story that the show’s distributor has not yet been finalized. Much is yet to be confirmed by any one Network or production company, such as the complete cast and how big (or small) a part the actors’ roles will play in the narrative, but there are a few things in the rumor mill that are reassured by multiple sources to be true:
According to Soap Opera News, who chatted with Days of Our Lives’ Marcy Miller (Abby), Wiped is a crime drama that began as a feature and expanded to a 10 part series. She will be playing a lead role.
Salviche has posted photos over the months to Instagram, from table reads to behind the scenes; Sneak peaks in which we can catch glimpses of him on set and wielding scripts with Miller, alongside Bosch’s frontman, Titus Welliver (Harry Bosch), Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris (Hank), and The Baldwin’s baby brother, Stephen. Other talent captured on set in various social media snaps include international & bilingual heartthrob Thomas Beaudoin (Hubert et Fanny), Prison Break’s Robert Knepper (T-Bag), Homeland’s Micah Hauptman (Mills) an Jared Ward (Yousef), StartUp’s Jonathan Camp (Declan) and Brotherhood’s Jenny Shakeshaft (Emily). The actors that seem to consistently recur in the shared behind the scenes photos are Miller, Camp, Beaudoin, Hauptman, Ward, Norris, Shakeshaft and Baldwin, however whether or not these actors all lead the series or if some pictures are merely a result of celebrity star-power on set remains to be seen.
It is speculated the series is written by Adam G. Simons (The Raid), who also seems to make an appearance on camera alongside Shakeshaft. He shares photos on his instagram account tagged with cast and crew that tend to include hashtags “#series” and “#script” and his story titled “Series” features director Santiago Salviche, filming locations and more cast and crew.
Filming of Wiped, referred to as “Nova Vita” and “No Livida” during principal photography, took place mid to late 2018 and spilled into early 2019 with locations including the famous “Egasse-Braasch House” (according to the location’s own website), a Hollywood go-to for fairy-tale abodes, as utilized in the writing of Good Will Hunting and appearing in many film projects, both large and small scale.
The series, as described in Mandy.com’s television directory, is costume designed by Brea Holmes and also featuring film festival acclaimed “Best Actress” Rene Michelle Aranda (who, like Welliver, Norris, Baldwin and Knepper, has upwards of 100 credits to her name on IMDb) as a nurse in the show, backed by an Instagram post found on Aranda’s account on set in wardrobe.
Mandy.com lists that the series was produced by Glendale Studio’s USArmenia and divulges the synopsis as:
“Two men find themselves in legal trouble and the one way to escape the consequences– faking their own deaths.”
According to HollywoodHiccups and Soaps.com, the series is:
“A story that revolves on the journey of a woman back to her husband after finding herself on a table floating in the middle of the ocean and not knowing where she is and what happened.”
According to Breakdown Express, official actor websites and other online resumes, Kristin Carey (Hall Pass), Katie Wilson (Superstore), and Nika Khitrova (Tacoma FD) will be making appearances as co and guest stars on Wiped.
According to the Facebook page for Hollywood & Vine Talent casting, the company responsible for many of the show’s dayplayers and bit roles, the show will feature prolific Hong Kong-to-LA voice actor Michael C. Pizzuto (Yo-Kai Watch, .hack//Roots), Michelle Toh (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Anton Nassif (People Magazine Investigates), Adam Nemet (Stone in the River), Alton Demore (Kiss Kiss), stand-up comedian Jackie S. Garcia and Australia-to-LA musician Dante Sessions. The page also confirmed Aranda’s role in the series as “Nurse Julie”.
To further confirm major cast members, Salviche teases edited scenes from Wiped in his 2019 Director’s Reel on vimeo:
For the film techs, Salviche shares on his story that the camera gear used in the filming included the 65mm Arri ALEXA LF and a drone.
Many of the actors and filmmakers involved in the production of Wiped have suggested the series would see a 2019 release but as of now, we can only take the director’s word that new epic series is “coming soon”.
